Low-cost lightweight test takes
Suited to multiple rounds of validating composition and basic action within a single day. Use 2.1 first to filter out clearly unusable shots, then move approved approaches to 2.6 or 3.0 for polish.
Kuaishou · Kling 2.1
Kling 2.1 is one of the earlier baseline tiers in the Kling line, built for lightweight test takes and basic action validation. Clips are commonly around 5s, suited to confirming whether composition, subject, and motion direction hold up before moving the approved approach to Kling 2.1 Master, Kling 2.6, or Kling 3.0 for polish. For new projects that already clearly need native A/V, a longer clip, or multi-shot, it's usually better to compare a higher tier directly. Select Kling 2.1 in the iMini video workspace to generate.

Usable for character walking/running, fixed shots, and simple tracking. Spell out subject and motion direction in the prompt — easier to land a usable preview than pure mood description.
Shot and motion description habits validated in a test take carry over to 2.6 or 3.0, cutting the cost of rewriting the whole prompt set after upgrading.
Check 2.1 Master for higher quality; check 2.6 for native A/V; check 3.0 for ~15s clips and multi-shot.
All belong to the Kling 2.1-to-2.6 tiers. Differences come down to test-take spec, native A/V, and how close you already are to a final cut.
